Carpathia® Channel Thermal Socks with Silver Ions Composition: 53% cotton, 38% polypropylene Prolen®, 9% elastane Description of parts: elasticated hem, plush in the instep, toe and heel, flat seam, anatomically shaped footbed, drainage channel Karpathia® trekking thermal socks with silver ions are suitable for trekking, skiing, tennis and other sports shoes. These Karpathia® trekking socks use Slovak antibacterial polypropylene fibre Prolen®Siltex, which is treated with a permanent antibacterial (biocidal) additive based on silver ions, active ingredient: phosphate glass containing silver. Prolen® Siltex fibre prevents bacterial growth, reduces unpleasant odours and ensures hygienic freshness. The antibacterial additive with which Prolen® Siltex fibre is treated does not meet the criteria for classification as a dangerous substance (in accordance with the CLP Regulation). Slovak Prolen® Siltex fibre, treated with a silver ion based antibacterial additive, has been produced by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. since 2004 and is certified according to Standard 100 by Oekotex, Class 1 (suitable for the production of infant clothing). The antibacterial properties of Prolen® Siltex fibre are confirmed by the VÚTCH - CHEMITEX certificate according to AATCC 100:2019 (it was tested for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria), the test protocol from VÚTCH - CHEMITEX according to ASTM E2149-13a (it was tested for Escherichia coli bacteria). Prolen® polypropylene fibre, which has been produced in Slovakia since 1970 by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. Prolen® fibre has excellent thermal insulation properties, is the lightest of all fibres (40% lighter than cotton), the fastest of all fibres to move moisture away from the skin towards the next absorbent layer or the surrounding area (wick effect). Retains permanent colors (it is dyed in the mass, the color does not bleed into your skin), is stain resistant and is 100% recyclable.
