Composition: 50% cotton, 42% polypropylene Prolen® Siltex, 8% elastane The Karpathia® functional socks use Slovak antibacterial polypropylene fibre Prolen®Siltex, which is treated with a permanent antibacterial (biocidal) additive based on silver ions, active ingredient: phosphate glass with silver content. Prolen® Siltex fibre prevents the growth of bacteria, reduces unpleasant odours and ensures hygienic freshness. The antibacterial additive with which Prolen® Siltex fibre is treated does not meet the criteria for classification as a dangerous substance (in accordance with the CLP Regulation). The Slovak Prolen® Siltex fibre, treated with an antibacterial additive based on silver ions, has been produced by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. since 2004 and is certified according to Standard 100 by Oekotex, class 1 (suitable for the production of infant clothing). The antibacterial properties of Prolen® Siltex fibre are confirmed by the VÚTCH - CHEMITEX certificate according to AATCC 100:2019 (it was tested for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria), the test protocol from VÚTCH - CHEMITEX according to ASTM E2149-13a (it was tested for Escherichia coli bacteria).
