Do you think that if you ride a bicycle you can't protect nature any more? Wrong. Just for environmentally conscious cyclists, we have prepared the Karpathia® Cyclo-recycle socks. They are socks made from recycled polypropylene granulate, but the socks still meet our highest standards. In order for your cycling trip to have the hallmarks of a professional cycling performance, your clothing needs to have certain features. It's important that your clothing effectively transfers heat and moisture away from your skin to the outdoors, or another absorbent layer. This can only be achieved by using functional materials that effectively wick away sweat while keeping you warm. It is not advisable to use garments made of wool and cotton materials, which are not suitable for cycling, for such physically demanding activities. Just as the choice of material is important, so is the choice of the right cycling fit. In order to give the cyclist as little air resistance as possible, it is advisable that the cut follows the curves of the body, emphasizes the elongated position of the cyclist's body and when riding, and does not have pronounced seams that could chafe the cyclist. Carpathia® Cycling Socks

Karpathia® Cyclo-recyclo compression cycling socks are made from recycled antibacterial polypropylene fibre Prolen®Siltex. This is a fibre that is made from recycled polypropylene granulate. This fibre is permanently treated with a silver ion based antibacterial additive. Prolen®Siltex fibre effectively prevents the growth of bacteria, reducing unpleasant odours. Therefore, even during your cycling performances, you can have a feeling of hygienic freshness. The antibacterial additive with which the Prolen® Siltex fibre is treated is not classified as a hazardous substance (in accordance with CLP Regulation). Prolen® Siltex fibre

Slovak fibre Prolen® Siltex, treated with an antibacterial additive based on silver ions, has been produced by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. since 2004 and is certified according to Standard 100 by Oekotex, class 1 (suitable for the production of infant clothing). The antibacterial properties of Prolen® Siltex are confirmed by the VÚTCH - CHEMITEX certificate. According to the AATCC 100:2019 standard (it has been tested for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria). Test report from VÚTCH - CHEMITEX according to ASTM E2149-13a (tested for Escherichia coli). It is this fibre that is also used in our Karpathia® Cyclo-recyclo socks Polypropylene fibre Prolen®, which has been produced in Slovakia since 1970 by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. Prolen® fibre has excellent thermal insulation properties, is the lightest of all fibres (40% lighter than cotton), the fastest of all fibres to move moisture away from the skin towards the next absorbent layer or the surrounding area (wick effect). Retains permanent colors (it is dyed in the mass, the color does not bleed into your skin), is stain resistant and is 100% recyclable.
