It is a Prolen ® Siltex polypropylene fibre that is permanently treated with a silver ion based antibacterial additive. This effectively prevents the proliferation of bacteria, thereby significantly reducing unpleasant odours. In this way, you can maintain a feeling of hygienic freshness even during your cycling exploits. The antibacterial additive with which the Prolen®Siltex fibre is treated is not classified as a hazardous substance (in accordance with CLP regulation). It therefore poses no risk to your health.

Prolen® Siltex fibre

Prolen®Siltex is made in Slovakia and thanks to the permanent treatment based on silver ions, it has a significant antibacterial effect. It is a premium product of Chemosvit Fibrochem s.r.o., manufactured since 2004 and is characterized by excellent thermal insulation properties. At the same time, it is the lightest fibre produced, weighing 40% less than cotton. Its special properties allow for the fastest wicking of moisture to the surroundings. As it is dyed in the mass, it retains its colour fastness and so the colour is not released into your skin. Prolen®Siltex is certified according to Standard 100 by Oeko-tex, class 1 (suitable for the manufacture of infant clothing). The antibacterial properties of Prolen®Siltex are attested by the VÚTCH - CHEMITEX certificate according to AATCC 100:2019 (it has been tested for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria), the test protocol from VÚTCH - CHEMITEX according to ASTM E2149-13a (it has been tested for Escherichia coli bacteria).
