Folkies socks use antibacterial Prolen®Siltex fibre, which is treated with a permanent antibacterial treatment based on silver ions.

Folkies® Socks - Disappear Korona II., is a product that we manufacture directly in Slovakia. Therefore, there is no need to treat it with formaldehyde to cover long distances as is the case with deliveries from Asia, for example. Unlike other fibers and clothing made from them, Prolen® and clothing made from it are "skin friendly" and can be worn by people with the most sensitive skin. Prolen® fibre does not react with chemicals produced by perspiration. When silver ions are applied, Prolen®Siltex fibre is produced, which is also used for the production of Prolen®Socks. It counteracts the growth of bacteria, reduces unpleasant odours, maintains the biological balance of the skin and ensures hygienic freshness. The antibacterial effect of silver has been known since the time of ancient Rome. Prolen® fibre has a slightly negative charge which is beneficial for the human body.
