Polypropylene fibre Prolen® has been produced in Slovakia since 1970 by Chemosvit Fibrochem s.r.o. Folkies socks use antibacterial Prolen®Siltex fibre, which is treated with a permanent antibacterial treatment based on silver ions.

Folkies® Socks - Disappear Korona I., is a product that we manufacture directly in Slovakia. Therefore, there is no need to treat it with formaldehyde to cover long distances as it is, for example, in the case of deliveries from Asia. Unlike other fibers and clothing made from them, Prolen® and clothing made from it are "skin friendly" and can be worn by people with the most sensitive skin. Prolen® fibre does not react with chemicals produced by perspiration. When silver ions are applied, Prolen®Siltex fibre is produced, which is also used for the production of Prolen®Socks. It counteracts the growth of bacteria, reduces unpleasant odours, maintains the biological balance of the skin and ensures hygienic freshness. The antibacterial effect of silver has been known since the time of ancient Rome. Prolen® fibre has a slightly negative charge which is beneficial for the human body. Negative ions help blood circulation, prevent free radicals, regulate autonomic nerves, activate cells and strengthen the immune system. Thanks to this, we can perform better.
