At the same time, the functionality of the PROLEN® fibre wicks away moisture the fastest of all fibres, keeping your feet dry. Folkies socks Folkies®- Ripples Folkies® socks - The ripples are made from antibacterial Prolen®Siltex polypropylene fiber. This fiber is permanently treated with a silver ion based antibacterial additive. Prolen®Siltex fibre effectively prevents the growth of bacteria, reduces unpleasant odours. Therefore, even during your hiking performances, you can have a feeling of hygienic freshness. The antibacterial additive with which Prolen® Siltex fibre is treated is not classified as a hazardous substance (in accordance with CLP Regulation). Prolen® Siltex fibre Slovak fibre Prolen® Siltex, treated with an antibacterial additive based on silver ions, has been produced by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. since 2004 and is certified according to Standard 100 by Oekotex, class 1 (suitable for the production of infant clothing). The antibacterial properties of Prolen® Siltex fibre are confirmed by the VÚTCH - CHEMITEX certificate according to AATCC 100:2019 (it has been tested for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria), the test protocol from VÚTCH - CHEMITEX according to ASTM E2149-13a (it has been tested for Escherichia coli bacteria). Polypropylene fibre Prolen®, which has been produced in Slovakia since 1970 by Chemosvit Fibrochem, s.r.o. Prolen® fibre has excellent thermal insulation properties, is the lightest of all fibres (40% lighter than cotton), the fastest of all fibres to move moisture away from the skin towards the next absorbent layer or the surrounding area (wick effect). Retains permanent colors (it is dyed in the mass, the color does not bleed into your skin), is stain resistant and is 100% recyclable.
